The mission of AAUW is to advance gender equity through research, education and advocacy.  The Bridgeport, Connecticut branch of AAUW emphasizes education, and educational scholarships are a key component of our service outreach. Since our branch was founded, we have awarded over $500,000 in financial aid scholarships.

AAUW Bridgeport sponsors scholarships for local women, of all ages, who identify as female. 

-Applicants must have been residents of Fairfield County for at least two years.

-Applicants must have at least 30 college credits by June 2025 and plan to continue their education for the 2025-2026 school year in order to qualify.
